ArmourCoat in many ways is formulated like a vehicle polish, it contains waxes and silicones to boost shine and provide a deep even gloss. This is where the similarity ends; in addition, ArmourCoat contains additional polymer additives which provide an exceptional boost to the resistance of the film to washing and weathering.

1. Fluoropolymer – This material is a modified PTFE, it has exceptional resistance to water and weathering and superb non-stick properties. The fluoropolymer migrates and concentrates at surfaces so it provides protection not just for the paint finish but also for the polish itself.
2. Silicone resin: A specialised polymeric silicone which dries to form a resin hard, clear, durable film. This is exceptionally water repellent and forms a physical barrier between the paintwork and pollutants, which would harm it.
3. UV absorber - ArmourCoat contains a UV absorber, which helps to reduce the harmful effects of UV rays, which cause dulling and paint fade.
